Yes, yes, we've been clammering for this for so long. As long as I can remember! No reason not to get either a council scene including more 'prominent' jedi talking or better yet, ALL of them in action in a major battle! Death scenes should be shown (since TCW seems to not be for kiddies), and then their replacements should be shown taking the council position.I would think this wouldn't take long and I know that the producers and Co. Know this is a subject that needs more attention. Give us more Jedi fighting other than the obvious three!!

(Anakin, Obi Wan, and Ahsoka)That said, I see Oppo taking out many Seperatist leaders by slithering into their headquarters and leading the 501st to a huge victory. Only to be killed in battle in a lightsaber duel by.Tyranus. Click to expand.Highly doubt it will happen. Especially given Filoni's comments that it's unlikely to see future adaptions of stories like Kadavo. 'Sora Bulq' has made an appearance in Grievous Intrigue, or at least I think that was the episode. There was just some Weequay Jedi and the behind the scenes trivia said he was labeled as Sora Bulq on behind the scenes documents.

Rancisis

But to my knowledge he hasn't been seen since, and I doubt they will go the route of the various Jedi joining Dooku and becoming acolytes or whatever.I figure Oppo will make his first appearance (if he appears at all) in an episode in which he is a principle character. He's a more complex model and I doubt they'd take the time and money to create him for his non-essential role as a background extra and then possibly have to turn around and touch up that model latter as the animation gets better.

Apr 11, 2017 - In this installment of The RetroZap Artist Series, James Volpe pays homage to another obscure Star Wars character, Oppo Rancisis.

Same with Coleman, if he has already replaced Oppo by this time.Heck, Tsui Choi was supposed to make an appearance in ROTS (and I think he still might as the tiny almost unnoticeable Aleena riding the Dragonfly creature on Kashyyyk). They already have Aleena models done. They could roll with that idea and just plug that character into the Jedi council either as Oppo's replacement or Even's.

Ultimately that character would either have to die or step down by ROTS though (step down if that is Tsui Choi in ROTS). Click to expand.Highly doubt it will happen. I wonder if Oppo will be like Yarael and Yaddle and just get swept under the rug because Lucas doesn't like him. I don't know for a fact that Lucas doesn't like him, but as far as design goes - IMO - he looked by far the ugliest and like some shoddy amalgamation of parts - Cousin It meets anaconda. At any rate, I think it's one of those things that they won't use him until they come up with a story that requires him, which seems more like a potential mid-season episode, maybe for season 5. There really wasn't any room for him (or really any of the secondary Jedi characters) this season. Judging by how Anakin and other characters appear, it seems that Quinlan Vos has already been through that Dark Side issue.

Meaning, he has already killed Sora Bulq (whom in turn killed Oppo). Bulq's death was like Vos' rite of passage back into the light side.^Then again, those were the Republic comics I couldn't get my hands on and had to look at Wookiepedia. So if anything is wrong with that story, please correct me.This is basically why I push for Coleman Kcaj so much. Oppo is probably supposed to be dead already and someone should have taken his place. This is, sadly, yet another disapointment amongst TCW team. These might be minor characters but the Jedi Council does matter and the fans who get into this stuff REALLY care.

The fact that we still don't have a complete council on this show (4 freakin seasons!) is very irritating. The fact that we still don't have a complete council on this show (4 freakin seasons!) is very irritating. They could also be avoiding using Oppo for technical reasons.

Thisspiasian

Given that the style of the show has all the characters having superficial similarities to being carved out of a block of wood, most textures are pretty rigid, including characters' hair. For instance, Dooku's beard is always perfectly rigid; Anakin's hair doesn't move at all, even when he's sprinting; when Obi-Wan strokes his beard, there's no real sense that the hairs are being depressed under his hand, etc. They can get away with that for things like Obi-Wan's beard, but I have a hard time picturing Oppo in TCW wood-block style, since his hair is such a prominent feature that obscures most of his face, and it's so long, IMO it might look a little silly to adapt him as being a completely rigid mass of hair with arms and a serpentine body. If that's the case, maybe they're just avoiding addressing Oppo and he's just meant to be there off camera somewhere.I don't know though. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad as I picture it being.

But if that were the case, I would hope that they would just say he's dead and put a more technically feasible character as his successor. He also might be hard to animate in any kind of action scene involving a lightsaber. When it comes to sword fighting, a lot of it is in the footwork (or so I heard). With Oppo, given that he doesn't have any feet, that might be hard to translate into lightsaber action in a convincing way, unless they have him using his tail to spring himself all over the place and have him fight like Yoda.As far as Vos killing Bulq already. Bulq's name was used in reference to the Weequay Jedi in Grievous Intrigue. Eekar Oki, Tera Sinube, and Halsey all made their first appearances in that episode as background Jedi and then made subsequent appearances later on (still as a background character in the case of Oki). If that Weequay follows the same pattern and is used in a future episode, that could be a sign of a future Bulq appearance.

I think the dialogue about Dooku being uninterested in having Jedi serve him as the Zygerian queen proposes could be a sign that they are not going to follow the EU in having Dark Jedi leave the order and join Dooku. Judging by how Anakin and other characters appear, it seems that Quinlan Vos has already been through that Dark Side issue. Meaning, he has already killed Sora Bulq (whom in turn killed Oppo). Yaddle Star Wars

All these rumors on TCW taking place after Obsession were started by some guy being funny in the TCW general discussion thread. I don't remember who it was but the guy he told it to apparently bought it.It can't take place after Obsession for various reasons but I'm not going to list them.I used Quinlan Vos as a 'checkpoint' because the Republic comics are mostly about him and his back-in-forth story. I still don't understand his story but I'm sure a Vos-fan (if they still exist)was probably able to figure out where TCW is on the timeline just by his appearance in 'Hunt for Ziro'.BTW, I resent the idea that TCW is a 5 month or 1 year war. Heck, I resent that it was 2 years. I don't care what the 'years' are that are recorded in these little sourcebooks, novels, and guides because I find it sensible to believe that TCW is a 5 year war.Notice how I used 'I'?

This is my opinion.I look at it like this:TPM= Anakin is 10 and Obi-wan is 20.AOTC= Anakin is 20 and Obi-wan is 30.ROTS= Anakin is 25 and Obi-wan is 35.OT= Anakin/Vader is 45-ish and Obi-wan is 55-ish.Always worked for me.So yeah, if a Vos fan can figure it out, then I think we can judge whether or not Oppo should show up or not. I bolden 'should' because the chance that TCW team will ignore the Republic comics is pretty big. Judging by how Anakin and other characters appear, it seems that Quinlan Vos has already been through that Dark Side issue. Meaning, he has already killed Sora Bulq (whom in turn killed Oppo). Bulq's death was like Vos' rite of passage back into the light side.^Then again, those were the Republic comics I couldn't get my hands on and had to look at Wookieepedia. So if anything is wrong with that story, please correct me.This is basically why I push for Coleman Kcaj so much.
